Recreation Therapy Facilitator DSCP-U23-55

Reporting to the Supervisor of Community Support Services, the Recreation Therapy Facilitator provides recreation opportunities for youth and adults with developmental disabilities. Working across multiple programs and sites, including the Fee for Service – Discovery Club program and SOAR, the Recreation Therapy Facilitator facilitates recreation therapy programming, supports individuals in the reduction of depression, stress, and anxiety and other mental or physical illness.

Program Counsellor DSCP-U23-56

This position may be redeployed to Springboard’s Developmental Services Residences, should the need arise. Travel to other locations due to programming is required. Programming is offered virtually and in person. Program Counsellor position works within the SOAR program facilitating groups, providing life skills instruction for groups of up to 12 and assisting individuals to develop and achieve their goals. SOAR is a Vocational and Life Skills day program.

Support Workers

Community Living Durham North is hiring Direct Support Professionals who share our vision of building a community where everyone is valued. We are an agency that provides supports to a variety of people with diverse needs, this includes people with an intellectual disability, mental health diagnoses, addictions, physical support needs, vision/hearing impairment, autism, behavioural challenges, acquired brain injury, dementia, and an aging population.

Adult Protective Services (APS) Workers (1 FT, 1 PT)

To assess needs, and develop and implement personal Individual Support Plans for adults who have a developmental disability (developmental disability as defined by the Government of Ontario’s Select Committee on Developmental Services) to enhance their ability to continue to live independently in their community.

Facilitator, Supported Independent Living (SIL)

To provide personal support exclusively adults with a developmental disability in a supported individual living setting. The objective is to implement an Individual Support Plan for continued independent living and client enjoyment of a lifestyle which promotes participation, friendships and citizenship in the community.

Support Worker, Resource Consultant, Early Childhood Education

A person in the Early Childhood Education Resource Services position is responsible for the overall support and resource to children and their families through specialized knowledge of child development, children’s mental health, early intervention and inclusive practices for children who have a disability. Community Living Mississauga works with a number of childcare providers in Mississauga to provide inclusive childcare experiences for all children.
