Child and Family Therapist

Family / Child and Youth Therapist (within the Rapid Virtual Services/Walk-in Services program)

Yorktown requires a skilled and enthusiastic family and child therapist with fluency in English to provide clinical services to a diverse multi-cultural population. This position is located within our Infant, Child and Youth Centre within the brief services programs, providing counseling service in our Walk-in and Rapid Access Virtual Service, as well as Care Navigation support from time to time.

Crisis Worker – Engaging with Indigenous Community

YFS is looking for a Crisis Worker for the newly funded for the Toronto Community Crisis Services – Northwest (TCCS). This service provides 24/7 support to people experiencing a mental health and/or addiction crisis in northwest Toronto. This pilot program is part of a City of Toronto police reform initiative that is evaluating the effectiveness and impact of non-police-led responses to people experiencing non-emergency crises.

Indigenous Addiction Counsellor – RAAM

The role will provide counselling including assessment, care planning and referrals. The role will also encompass case management and community-based capacity building and stigma reduction through community education, development and liaison. Intervention aids understanding of the effects of substance use and co-occurring mental health issues, while supporting positive change and enhanced coping, improved health status and skill development in all life domains.

What’s Up Walk-In Counsellor

This position is responsible for providing brief counselling for individuals and families. It also may involve providing some case management, psycho-education, advocacy, and consultation to support youth and their families or caregivers presenting with mental health, emotional or behavioural issues. YouthLink serves youth ages 12-24 and their families through our What’s Up Walk-In Clinic and other brief services. This may include carrying a small brief therapy client caseload.
