Description

We are looking for a relationship development professional to join our marketing and communications team. You will help us raise awareness of Effect Hope’s mission among churches and other communities, and embark on a fulfilling journey to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable people affected by neglected tropical diseases like leprosy. You know what it is like to engage individuals and groups in meaningful conversations that inform, inspire and move to shared actions that support mutual goals. You have experience running events and can take an event from idea through to successful completion, including measurement and follow-up.

In this dynamic position, you'll lead the charge in developing and implementing community and church engagement strategies, becoming a dedicated ambassador for Effect Hope's mission to combat neglected tropical diseases. Your enthusiasm, interpersonal skills, results orientation and desire to see mission growth will be key to your success.

What You Bring to the Role

  • A post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience in communications, fundraising or marketing.
  • Prior experience in establishing, growing and nurturing new external relationships to accomplish goals.
  • Prior experience working for or with a registered charity or non-profit organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and public speaking skills; comfortable communicating in small and large group settings.
  • Prior experience with event planning and execution
  • Flexible to work some evenings and weekends and to travel with own transportation.
  • Appreciation of and love for, the Church, its mission and theological underpinning of its calling in relation to the work of organizations like Effect Hope.
  • Proven ability to work well independently and collaboratively in your team and with cross-departmental teams.
  • Proficient in using all Microsoft Office applications and in engaging with a constituency through their preferred channels including with digital platforms.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects under tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Passion for Effect Hope’s calling and mission with the motivation to see our mission accomplished. Willing to commit to Effect Hope’s mission and values.
