Strides Toronto

Strides Toronto is a new multi-service agency providing services to young people from birth to age 29 and their families in East Toronto. Formed in January 2020 through the amalgamation of Aisling Discoveries and East Metro Youth Services, Strides Toronto provides a range of community, residential and treatment services to improve the mental, social and physical health of infants, children, youth and their families. We provide individual, group and family interventions that include mental health counselling, autism services, education, outreach and referral, early intervention, day treatment and community support.

As Lead Agency for infant, child and youth mental health in Toronto, Strides Toronto works with 31 core service providers to design and implement system-level improvements that transform access to services, experience of services and the mental health outcomes for Toronto’s diverse communities.

Strides Toronto has a budget of $30 million and more than 350 employees providing services out of 19 locations across East Toronto.  The organization is accredited by the Centre for Accreditation and the predecessor organizations have a long history of providing high-quality services in East Toronto.

ABA Therapist

The ABA Therapist is a permanent full-time position that works directly with children and youth diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families in the provision of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. ABA services includes group and/ or individual sessions in the areas of communication skills, behaviour management/ emotional regulation, social/ interpersonal skills and daily living skills.

Respite Worker

The Respite Worker will work in partnership with the families and URS (Urgent Response Services) team to provide time-limited (up to 12 weeks) respite and supports intended to respond rapidly to a specific need for children and youth up to 18 years of age and registered in the OAP (Ontario Autism Program) to prevent further escalation of risk of harm to self, others and/or property.

Manager, Information Technology

The Manager, Information Technology is a full-time permanent position maintains the continuous operations of the Organization’s IT Helpdesk and Support Services and ensures smooth execution of IT Services for the organization. The Manager, Information Technology, will also provide technical direction on IT software, hardware, database applications, telephone systems and telco services and other IT related services.

Clinical Supervisor, Autism Services

This Clinical Supervisor, Autism Services is a full-time permanent position that will provide supervision to a team of Intensive Behaviour Therapists and provide ongoing clinical direction, guidance, and support for clients and families based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis.
